HOSOO partnered with OeO in November 2011 with the objective to build the international business of superior quality fabrics for high-end interior projects and fashion houses. The objective was clear. First step was to launch a new collection to be presented at Maison & Objet in January 2012. HOSOO is a brand with an outstanding long history and amazing aesthetics yet very traditional Japanese in look and style. The challenge was therefore to bridge this legacy into modern, contemporary fabrics for the international market and to strengthen the brand’s communications platform.

The new fabrics collection designed by OeO push the boundaries of traditional weaving techniques to create intriguing, sophisticated and aspirational fabrics for both interiors and fashion. The designs are international in look and style and offer a rich colour scheme, ranging from dual-tone to multi-tone and from subtle to expressive. The fabrics draw their inspiration from the structures and patterns of nature, adding new dimensions of beauty and life.

Inspired by the notion of cultural exchange, celebrated Japanese fashion designer Junko Koshino expresses a desire to reach beyond the confines of her own cultural realm. This limited edition series, originally designed by the internationally acclaimed Danish architect Børge Mogensen, reflects a unique cultural interplay between Danish Modernism and Japanese aesthetics. The result is a compelling series of cabinets adorned with Junko Koshino’s refined and exclusive signature gold leaf graphics, which are produced in close collaboration with Japanese gold leaf company Hakuichi, Japan.

Mogensen X Junko Koshino cabinets are produced by Stellar Works and was launched during Salone del Mobile 2012 in Milan.
